I originally wanted to start my channel on YouTube because after I got my devastating, life-changing, traumatic disorder, I thought about the other kids that are going through this exact same thing, and the kids that are going to go through this in the future. Most of them are probably going to be/are already self-conscious and shut off about it, but I think of it this way. You have two choices. You can hide back in the corner and squirm and cuss yourself about how you are and how you can’t do anything about it, or you can stand up to it and say, “I may not like the way I am, but I am (your name) and I’m not going to be ashamed of it. I am just like everybody else, a human being, and though everyone may not treat me like I am, I am Jesus’s child and if anything, He loves me.” I want to assure the people going through what I went through of that, and I want to give them an opportunity and a chance to get out of that corner and acknowledge that even if God shuts a door, He opens a window, at least, if not a whole other door. Also, I like to let people know that just because they have a condition or whatever, we ALL have a gift or a talent at something. For me, it’s music. I play the piano, I play the recorder, I like to sing, etc. I like to help people find their gift.
I do like to answer any questions people have for me, and I try my hardest to post any video requests that I get. My comments definitely do give me support, but me and my mom are part of many support groups and my ultimate support is given to me through God.
